Effective Wound Care

If you love the outdoors like me, this one is a must have!  Between gardening, yard maintenance, hiking and kayaking, I get more than my share of scrapes, pokes and cuts.  For example, here in Florida, there’s a vine called Cat’s Claw which quite literally tears open your skin and causes serious irritation if you brush up against it.  Neosporin and Bactine are good, but there are some cuts that just feel like they need a little more.  Having a family in medicine, I knew that for really bad wounds, they use charcoal-infused bandages to draw out the infection.  This seemed like it might be a great option to have on hand for the multitude of outdoor injuries I seem to get.  But, who would have known how hard this was to find on the internet!  Now I know this is labelled for pets, but it is definitely multipurpose.  With safe, active ingredients and no chemicals, this gel is easy to apply under a bandage, with very little mess.  It effectively draws out any toxins and prevents infection, and is the perfect addition to any prepared medicine cabinet.
